I’m a very big fan of Field House. Simple, straight forward goodness. Was out to their tasting room on Thursday for a second visit and tried the Salted Black Porter. It was just right.

This is the first of theirs I've had, I quite like it. We've got the Wheat Gose as well to try, I'll definitely be having more

I liked the Wheat Gose too. Don’t stop there though, their Eastern IPA is a welcome departure from all the over hopped NW IPAs, yet definitely not a pale ale.

Speaking of glassware...First time I was there I picked up a glass and shortly thereafter regretted not getting a second one (so thin, so fine). Rectified on Thursday. I was told it’s an Ale Glass, but whatever.

I have to say I'm definitely a fan of lots of hops, but tamer ones are good too, I'll definitely try it. Ooh that's a nice glass. I need to get some from breweries, there are so many good designs.

I’m in the midst of building tasting flights with a variety of local taster glasses and paddles. You should see the looks I get when I ask if their paddles are for sale. “What the hell do you want that for?” :-)x

Have yet to find one I like, that can be acquired.
